Although our processes are rigorous, they are flexible and can adapt to suit your business.

We generally start with an advertisement. From the many applications, a shortlist is created and the best applicants interviewed and tested. Often a second interview is conducted with your business represented on the panel. By the time the job offer is made, you can be confident that you have the right person.

Employment and payment

We look after training agreements, wages, superannuation, workers’ compensation, public holidays and sick and annual leave.

You have flexibility to cancel the apprenticeship or traineeship hire contract if required (conditions apply).

Induction and training

Each apprentice or trainee completes a work health and safety (WHS) induction upon commencement. Our induction process ensures an easy transition into the workforce.

We coordinate and manage training.

Ongoing support

During the term of the apprenticeship, we monitor training progress, work performance and work ethic. We provide appropriate protective equipment.

Through quality mentoring we support personal and professional development.

We visit new apprentices regularly over the course of the apprenticeship, maximising retention and productivity.

Value adding

Many Work & Training apprentices and trainees progress to Certificate IV after their successful completion of a trade or business qualification. Further qualifications increase the benefits to your business.
