CPC20220 – Certificate II in Construction Pathways
This qualification provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to the majority of construction worksites.
The qualification has core units of competency that are required in many Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from a range of units aligned at Certificate III level and in total could provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
This qualification has 15 units, 10 core, 5 electives to complete. On completion, participants will be able to demonstrate the practical skills and knowledge regarding:
- Safe construction work practices
- Construction tools and equipment use
- Planning, measuring and interpreting plans
Occupational titles may include:
- Builder’s labourer
- Construction Labourer
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia Model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry meets this requirement.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered through classroom based training. Classes will be 2 days per week for 10 weeks.
