This workshop covers the skills and knowledge required to design and develop text-based documents using features of Microsoft word processing software.
On completion of this short course you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Course Content
This course covers the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, including navigating and selecting text, how to create a document from scratch, work with tabs and lists, format characters and paragraphs and prepare documents for printing.
The course has a practical format, with students completing exercises which build their skills and knowledge.
Skills and techniques you will learn during the course include:
- Design document structure, style and layout
- Insert and modify tables, images and graphics
- Import data and use templates
- Use and create styles to ensure consistency of design
- Use quick parts and references
- Naming and storage conventions
- Troubleshoot and use manuals and online help
