This workshop covers the skills and knowledge required to design and develop text-based documents using features of Microsoft word processing software.

Course Content

This course  covers the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, including navigating and selecting text, how to create a document from scratch, work with tabs and lists, format characters and paragraphs and prepare documents for printing. 

The course has a practical format, with students completing exercises which build their skills and knowledge. 

Skills and techniques you will learn during the course include:

  • Build a variety of document types from scratch 
  • Incorporate formatted text
  • Design bulleted, numbered or tabbed lists
  • Set up the file print options
