When Keegan Jones started his Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology in November 2024, he brought more than a willingness to learn. As a mature-aged apprentice with previous qualifications and industry experience, he arrived with a strong foundation, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to making the most of every opportunity.

From the beginning, Keegan approached his apprenticeship with dedication and determination. He embraced new challenges, built on his existing skills, and consistently looked for ways to improve.
Just as importantly, he was always willing to support those around him.
Throughout his apprenticeship with Sandvik Mining Solutions, Keegan became known not only for his reliability and work ethic but also for the way he encouraged others. His willingness to share his knowledge and support a younger apprentice helped create a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Regular visits throughout his training provided an opportunity to reflect on progress, discuss challenges, and celebrate achievements along the way. It was clear at every stage that Keegan was committed to his goals and determined to succeed.
As his skills and confidence continued to grow, so did his contribution to the team. Keegan quickly established himself as a valued member of the Sandvik Mining Solutions workforce, earning the respect of colleagues through his professionalism, consistency, and positive approach.
In June 2026, Keegan reached an important milestone, successfully completing his apprenticeship through an early competency-based completion. Achieving this ahead of schedule reflects the effort, commitment, and dedication he brought to his training from day one.
Today, Keegan is a qualified tradesperson and a great example of what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to keep learning.
Congratulations Keegan.
